OUR COLLEEN MARSHALL WAS INVITED TO DELIVER THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS — WELCOMING THEM INTO CITIZENSHIP… COLLEEN: IT WAS THE LARGEST NATURALIZATION CEREMONY EVER HELD IN CENTRAL OHIO. ALL OF THE FEDERAL JUDGES AND MAGISTRATES FROM THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF OHIO WERE ON HAND TO WELCOME THE NEW CITIZENS — AND HELP THEM PLEDGE THEIR ALLEGIENCE TO THIS COUNTRY. I AM THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF IRISH IMMIGRANTS – AND WAS HONORED TO WELCOME THE NEW CITIZENS INTO THE AMERICAN FAMILY… COLLEEN: JUDGE ED SARGUS/ SOURTHERN DISTRICT OF OHIO SAYS “MANY OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING DECADES FOR THIS SPECIAL DAY. SO FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES BECOMING AN AMERICAN IS REALLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS OF THEIR LIVES.” “I AM A PROFESSOR AT OHIO STATE AND A SCIENTIST AND I FELT SUDDENLY THAT I CAN DO MORE TO THE YOUTH INTERESTED IN SCIENCE AND EDUCATION IF I BECOME A CITIZEN.” “HOW DOES THIS FEEL FINALLY AFTER 37 YEARS BECOMING AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. IT’S GREAT IT’S ECSTATIC.” “YOU HAD TO EARN YOUR CITIZENSHIP AND I HOPE THAT AFTER TODAY YOU WEAR IT WITH GREAT PRIDE BECAUSE YOU FOUGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO BE AN AMERICAN.” LINDA NDEME SAYS “OH..
