Becoming a Swiss Citizen!

Becoming a Swiss Citizen!

Part of my process was regaining my
citizenship So my parents are Swiss they were born and raised in Switzerland! so
they are Swiss citizen. Through birth actually adoption because I was adopted I gained swiss citizenship.I have been swiss since
birth but the thing is once you turn an adult they reach out to you to see if
you still want to be a Swiss citizen. I did not respond because I was like 18 and
getting a citizenship was not like top of my agenda I was 18 I didn’t know what
I was doing! Now I’m an adult and that’s something I wanted to do so I reached
out to them I was like YO! How do I get this swiss citizenship so they sent me
some paperwork I filled it out I sent it back and it was pretty easy process and
I got the email today they said you are all registered with the swiss consulate. The
next step is that I apply for a passport through them. I don’t need a passport to
be a Swiss citizen but it just makes it helpful for jobs… get like an apartment or
anything else that I will need over there it’s helpful. Unfortunately I have
to fly all the way to San Francisco to get that. I didn’t know you couldn’t
apply for a passport through Skype guess not.
I’m super excited about this but I’m not super excited about a two hundred dollar
ticket to San Francisco plus spending like two hundred dollars for the actual
documents fun times but this is just part of the process so that was the last
thing I was waiting for so now that I got it all good to go.
I am 100% sure for October 4th 100% out of here! All right guys so that
was my little update I’ll make some more videos later once stuff starts to come
along because I am still 2 Months and one week away from departure and that’s it
so you guys please give me thumbs up and Subscribe And yeah! Follow my journey 🙂

What? You dont speak german and you have been living in switzerland for just a short period, and you get a Swiss Passwort that easy? Its sad that People who live their whole lifes in switzerland and that are perfectly integrated, but dont have the Luck to have parents with a swiss passport, wont get it so easy. And no I'm Not jealous, I just think its ridiculous and unfair.

i was born and raised in california, but i have dual citizenship too! i married my swiss college sweetheart, who was living in cali to go to the same university as me, (u.c.s.b.) after living in st. gallen a few months, i applied for swiss citizenship and i passed the interview process. if i had lived in geneva or zurich, i would have had to wait years to get it. i love having both!!

Congratulations:) I'm 'real' swiss so actually I have nothing to say. But you getting your citizenship so easily is unfair! Others have to speak one of or languages, they have to be integratet ect ect. And you just got it. It's not fair. And it should be the same for everyone!

No matter what do not denounce your US. Citizenship, remain a dual as long as possible. For starters, if your life direction changes for whatever reason, You will not have to deal with the red-tape returning, especially with everything regarding clearance have access to the states. I did wish to ask you a question, if you so choose not answer it, I understand. Do you have the desire to know your biological history, Because your life story deserves to know your lineage. Have you consider running your DNA, through a paternity database? If anything, this will shed light on indirect relatives, that can open door's to who your related too.
