Candy Tran Talks About Her U.S. Citizenship Interview

Congratulations, Miss Candy. Thank you so much So when did you pass the citizenship test? Last . . . two weeks ago Congratulations! So thank you for being here for the interview. I would like to ask you some questions to share your experience with the other students. The first question we have is: What advice would you give to the students who are preparing to take the test right now? Please say again. What advice? What recommendations will you tell the students who are in the classroom studying to take the test right now? Go to Citizenship class. The teacher is very nice. Every day, the teacher interviews and (asks) the 100 questions and reading and writing (dictation). She asks N-400 questions. Were you nervous when you took the test? No, (just) a little bit. So in the test, which part is the most difficult for you in the interview at USCIS? Difficult? Difficult: which one is “difficult”? Which part is “difficult”? The 100 (civics questions) How many questions did they ask you? Six questions. Wow! And you passed all of them! So the last question that I have is: When you join Miss Jennifer’s class, which part of the class do you enjoy the most? With all the lessons she prepares, and all the techniques she (uses to) help you, which part of the class do you like the most? Everything I like it. Teacher Jennifer is very good. She is . . . Every day class, she asks (interviews) a lot, A LOT of students. Can you describe a normal class? When you first come to class, what do you do? When we finished a class, what usually is the last activity? Sorry? In the beginning, what do you do in the class in the beginning? (interviewing) When we come to the class? We watch TV and writing and interviewing. Yes, so when does Teacher Jennifer help you with the interview? When every class is done, she interviews (individual) students for 15 minutes. So it’s a “One Teacher; One Student” interview. Yes, yes. Thank you for your time. Thank you for being here tonight.
