Hi. How can you know if your attorney is serious about your case or greedy just for money? My hubby came here legally as a b-1 visitor back in 1998 and over stayed his visa, got charged with carrying a conceal weapon but was reduce to misdemeanor in 2006, paid court cost and case was closed, then in 2009 he got detained by ICE but was released eight months later on supervision release because of Obama three to six months in custody if you can’t deport the immigrant. Now we moved to North Carolina and transfer his PO here to Charlotte NC, after about one year he went and was detained and deported. It’s been a year now since his departure, what is the best way to bring him back legally? We were approve for I-130 and I-485 but our old lawyer never told us that the visa center sent us a letter to schedule an appointment with them and I found out after my hubby got detained. They have been waiting for us since 2009 and terminated our case in 2011.
