NRA’s Wayne LaPierre Stands Strong for Law-Abiding Citizens

NRA’s Wayne LaPierre Stands Strong for Law-Abiding Citizens

Recently, we watched in horror as two
unspeakable tragedies unfolded in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Like all
Americans we at the NRA extend our deepest sympathies to the victims and
their families, and we salute the courage of our law enforcement officials and
first responders. But there’s nothing about an insane criminal committing a
horrible act that should lead to the government taking guns away from
law-abiding citizens. That will only make us less safe. Yet that’s exactly what
we’re seeing right now–a highly orchestrated effort to disarm American
citizens unlike anything we’ve ever seen in this country. It’s an effort to
destroy the NRA. To defame our millions of members and tens of millions of
supporters. An effort that’s fueled by billionaires and a multi-billion-dollar
media machine that couldn’t care less about fighting crime. Their fight is
against you, your guns, and your freedom. And that’s exactly why the NRA will
always stand and fight, and never give in. Because we can’t make this country
safe–we can’t make our country a better place by slamming the door on the
Constitution and the Second Amendment. The way to make the country safe is to
slam the door on violent criminals like NRA members have been demanding for the past 40 years. And make no mistake, No organization in America has done more to
fight violent crime than the NRA. We’ve demanded hard time for hard crime. We’ve fought for full prosecution of gun criminals. No plea bargaining and no
parole. And we’ve demanded full enforcement of
the federal gun laws already on the books, to take armed drug dealers and
criminal gang members off our city streets. And we’ve repeatedly called for
our background check system to be fixed, to stop criminals and those who’ve been
adjudicated mentally ill from buying guns, but we will not allow anti-gun
politicians and elitist billionaires to jump on the back of a horrible tragedy
and blame good people for an act of pure evil. We will always defend our right to
defend ourselves and no one is going to take that away on my watch. No one is going to take that away as long as the NRA stands and fights for
freedom. Freedom-loving Americans are still the majority in this country and
if we stand up, if we fight, we win. Let’s stand together now. Let’s make this
country a better, safer place. And let’s fight to make sure no madman, or
billionaire, or elitist politician ever takes away our God-given right to
protect our lives, our home, and people we love.

NRA needs to produce and circulate more evidence that criminals are seldom members of the NRA – that NRA members are often on the scene to prevent loss of life at the hands of gun criminals and that NRA is pushing for the same things that those who would narrow the 2nd amendment want: general safety of the citizenry. they do this through gun safety education, their community action, and their legislative persuasion.

There should be more publicity of NRA members heroically defending the public in threatening situations; there should be more coverage of tragedies when a concealed carry citizen could have saved lives. Just produce it and circulate it over the internet.

It seems like its just weak willed, no respect for anyone but themselves people demanding guns be taken away. It seems to me its maybe a half a million people crying about it, the media covering it. There are probably 200 million law abiding citizens that think this shit is crazy. How do you expect to defend yourself if every shitbag bad guy has a gun and you turned yours in, because you follow the law. You think these attacks are bad, wait until you are unarmed, then cry to the police you hate. Is the government going to protect you? How.

Any trained and informed citizens should train, continue to train (not just go to the range now and again) and also help those who want to learn, or help educate those who are not knowledgeable of what a responsible gun owner is really about. Fact is, anybody who is against guns, would want a trained carry holder next to them in the event of another tragedy. Nobody has time to wait for the police to arrive. The fact is, We are responsible and the first line of defense against any threat.

if the NRA and GOA (I belong to both, BTW) had more courageous leadership, they would point out the FACT that the leftist, communist, deep state (FBI AND CIA) bad actors in the swamp are the ones CAUSING these incidents like El Paso and Dayton. Sandy Hook was a FEMA DRILL. The school was closed FOUR YEARS PRIOR and NEVER reopened. That was a COMPLETE fraud perpetrated by CRISIS ACTORS. Sandy hook is NOT the only such incident. Boston Marathon and Pulse Night Club were BOTH complete FAKES with crisis actors.
what all of these false flag events have in common is they are ENGINEERED specifically to take down the 2nd amendment and erode our freedoms. Sometimes people die in these false flags, sometimes nobody dies. Oklahoma City was a drill and yet people died. The explosives that took out the Murrah Building were on the SECOND floor above the day care. The second floor is where the FED law enforcement offices were. THEY were all told to take the day off. how convenient. The Fire Dept knew ahead of time. these are FACTS, people, FACTS that prove the deep state did this to US. OKC would repeat itself over and over again as the deep state relentlessly plots to erode our freedoms and abolish the 2nd amendment
911 likewise was a DRILL with over 3000 fatalities. We KNOW who did 911. IT was zionists. Watch:
"Christopher Bollyn, 911" on you tube OR go to Bollyn's website and examine the evidence for yourself. The missile that hit the pentagon hit the exact offices where they were looking for the "missing" 2 to 3 TRILLION dollars. how convenient. LIkewise, in the FOUR buildings in the world trade center complex that were destroyed by controlled demolition, evidence of many crimes was present, including Enron.
Don't be fooled, people, these attacks on our freedoms are the work of ZOG, and even GOA doesn't have the BALLS to tell the truth, which means they will ALWAYS be on the defensive, which means we will slowly lose ground in this battle until there is nothing left.
Yes, the NRA and GOA know the truth and NO, they will NOT use it to put an end to this bullshit. Why should they? The minute they expose the truth, and the matter gets resolved – their organizations won't be as important anymore.

I am a gun owner in the state of NY and I have one question. If the NRA fights for our Second Amendment right to have and bear arms, then WHY have you turned your back on NYers and allowed the SAFE Law to go unchallenged? I want to now. You've answered not even one of my letters but never cease in sending me offers and brochures and begging for my hard earned money and for what? So you can take it and still do not a damn thing for us here in NY? Gun owners here are under siege. I have several guns sitting deep in weapons cache's so that the government cant take them. I have in some cases, invested over a well thousand dollars per rifle and the local government thinks that their measley $350.00 buy back BS is somehow worth my handing over a $3500.00 rifle. Gun owners like myself now what I'm saying is true. Hell, a descent scope alone can easily cost over 1k, much less the mounts and precision gunsmithing it takes to mount your optics. $350.00 is an insult and that's considering I'd even sell my guns which I wouldn't for one second!

I will see my guns and their ammunition rot in the earth before I give them up, I will. That only means that right now, technically I can be a felon for not registering them, and you do NOTHING…Why? SAFE was already repealed once. They changed a couple words to the same law and you just gave up on us. Why does a New Yorker want to pay dues so some other state can be free to have and own a firearm of THEIR choice without government having a roadmap straight to their door when they decide that they are just going to take guns when the upcoming Soviet dictators in our Congress and Senate feel like it? You at the NRA alot yourselves a seriously descent paycheck from the dues of members, fly around in jets, wear the most expensive of suits. It's members that ALLOW you that lifestyle, yet you could give two shits to give back in just simply fighting for our rights as you advertise you do. I want answers and I think you do owe us at the very least that much. Or is providing an answer too much effort too?

Here’s what happens after governments have disarmed their citizens:
    1911 – Turkey disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1915 – 1917 they murdered 1.5 million Armenians.
    1929 – Russia disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1929 – 1953 they murdered 20 million Russians.
    1935 – China disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1948 – 1952 they murdered 20 million Chinese.
    1938 – Germany disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1939 – 1945 they murdered 16 million Jews.
    1956 – Cambodia disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1975 – 1977 they murdered 1 million Educated people.
    1964 – Guatamala disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1964 – 1981 they murdered 100,000 Mayan Indians.
1970 – Uganda disarmed it’s citizens, and between 1971 – 1979 they murdered 300,000 Christians. You can argue about the numbers, but the point here is that disarmed citizens are vulnerable, and that there are many historical examples of disarmed citizens being killed and oppressed by their own government. The excuse given by authorities that they need to take guns away from citizens in order to lower crime rates is not supported by facts. Even if a government does not turn on its own citizens after disarming them, people are less safe – because unarmed citizens are easy targets to criminals. Over and over again, it has been clearly shown that taking guns away from citizens does not lead to a decrease in crime but rather a dramatic increase. Australia has disarmed it’s citizens, and a year later the homicide rate in the largest province is up 300%. The burglaries of seniors is “dramatically” up.
I guess the criminals did not turn their weapons in. Only the innocent law abiding citizens turned in weapons.
In US cities with the highest crime rates, taking guns away from the citizens has not lowered the homicide rate. All it has done is to make it easier for criminals to operate. The 2nd amendment is not about duck hunting, or deer hunting. It is about having the ability and the right to defend oneself and your family. It doesn’t matter if that threat is a burglar, or the Federal Government. A disarmed population is fair game for any president who may be aspiring to become a dictator. Having its citizens armed was the plain and simple intent of the founding fathers of our country.

It’s no secret that the Venezuelan government has eviscerated property rights and fundamental civil liberties in the crisis beleaguered country. But how has the Venezuelan government been able to stay in power? The Venezuelan government’s civilian disarmament campaign is an oft-ignored abuse of human rights in discussions concerning Venezuela’s political crisis.
The Venezuelan government started by passing the original version of the Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law. Since then, the law has been modified to broaden the scope of the firearms regulated by the Venezuelan Armed forces, who have the power to register, control, and confiscate firearms.
The day of reckoning came when Venezuela banned the sale of firearms and ammo in 2012, under the guise of fighting crime. Despite the gun ban in place, crime rates continue to skyrocket.
Now Venezuelans have no way of defending themselves against a government that is free to muzzle their speech, expropriate their wealth, debase their currency, and starve them to death. And if that weren’t enough, the average Venezuelan must contend with the constant threat of common criminals and colectivos, Venezuela’s infamous pro-government paramilitary units.
