I object, Johnny Cochrane should not have been able to represent Chef due to his conflict of interest in representing the record company

This is a perfect example for why I hate the jury system. People are idiots. They vote for the best lawyer, they get persuaded by very deceptive reasonings, and they really don't understand what they're doing.

It seems crazy to me to trust in the judgement of 12 semi-random people. Especially when jurors can be not selected just for being intelligent and skeptical. Happened to Neil deGrasse Tyson twice.

There is a difference between lyrics and melody. Both are subject to litigation. A melody can only be “sampled” (remember Vanilla Ice/under pressure?) likewise, a few words don’t mean a lyric has been copied.

Objection! Endor was originally going to be Kashyyyk, Chewie's homeworld. We got cheated out of Wookie combat because Hasbro wanted teddy bears…
Not objecting to you per se, but… dammit, we could have had 7-foot-tall Wookies clobbering the Empire… and we had to wait till Episode 3 for that…

I liked this more that I thought I would. I have no desire to become a judge or lawyer, but I would like to be more knowledgable about the law and, at the very least, know the basic rights of American citizens thouroughly. Hopefully I will never need that knowledge (could have used it in my 20's) but you never know.

A jury should never be held by people who dont want to be there.
I do not think a person will get a fair trail by those who were kidnapped by the government and hate the persons guts for the inconvenience.

A jury should be held by those of understanding of law and order not lisa from produce at shop rite.

Im not sure if this has happened already but I recently watched the episode of King of the Hill where Dale sues the Manitoba Tobacco company. He represented himself and acted it out as 2 different people. Love to see that one on here.

Late but I feel it's relevant, Cochran apparently counseled OJ to stop taking his arthritis medication prior to the famous trying on of the glove. His rheumatoid arthritis, untreated, caused his knuckles to swell.

Do "Robert Blake." That high profile acquittal just bugged me the most. He went back into the restaurant to "get my gun." 😳🤯 And the jury bought it! Okay, what did the attorneys do to create "doubt" in the jurors' minds? Mine is so still boggled. Yeah, she was an "imperfect victim." Perhaps that's the place to start. If a jury doesn't like a victim, anyone can do anything to them, and get away with it.

I would be most interested in your analysis of this high profile case. If you do real cases.

    Objection!

I am a lawyer in Brazil, and here we have a kind of lawsuit to reverse a case already tried. The procedure is called "Ação Rescisória" (Termination Action) and can be used when new evidence comes after the trial, when the judge or jury is biased or bribed, or when an error occurs in the procedure. It's a kind of exception to the "Res Judicata" called the "Busca da Verdade Real" (Search for Real Truth.)

Objection: At 12:07, you identify the fact that Chewbacca doesn't live on Endor as the first problem with the Chewbacca defence. But the very fact that you pointed that out BEFORE pointing out that it has nothing to do with the trial proves that the defence is effective for its real purpose, which is to get the listeners so confused that they start focusing on arguing about Star Wars trivia instead of evaluating the evidence presented.

You should continue the glove video. He pulled it off with no resistance. This would indicate that he was pretending it difficult to put on.

This is why American law is flawed, there's no way that a jury system should exist for civil cases. They do not have enough legal knowledge to decide verdicts on these cases. Other than that nice tie pin

Objection: Consul is testifying to the facts (and getting it wrong, Ron Goldman was not Nicole's lover, according to police the relationship was platonic and they only knew each other about 6 weeks before the murder), furthermore the relationship between the victims is irrelevant to the case.
