One thing I would like to see is a roadmap that spans all the way to the full release of the PU. Even if it is wildly inaccurate or changes dramatically or is even very brief, I would just like to see how long they think this project will take and what they think they can accomplish before the game comes out.

Having a full list with priority levels would be interesting. It could give an idea just how long is left till full release. It would be better to have a historical list with dates complete to give context too

So be it. DEV's doing great jobs and I'm still satisfied. It takes a long time but it's getting better for sure. Bugs and glitches yes they're still there but keep on reporting them and the development will go faster.

I really enjoy watching the development and playing semi-regularly .. people really need to get perspective on these things 🙂 .. big projects take time, creative things .. are even more unpredictable.

Very informative video. Would be a dream come true to pilot and take people around in an 890 Jump.

I don't mind things getting pushed back, or pulled out and placed on hold until others are ready. That's just agile development in a nutshell. And I still very much prefer the quarterly release goals, even if they are not always met exactly. I really don't want to go back to the long, long waiting periods we had during the 2.x era.

Will we be able to buy super large ships that can store a few hammer heads or something like that inside it in-game.

It'd be probably like 370,000,000 UEC but it'd be great for some large fleets and for super large orgs.

I would like more detail in the roadmap with every feature that will come in that patch but a surprise ship or feature can sometimes be nice as I would rather be surprised by a new feature than disappointed by one not coming

So bored I agree with all of your videos but here's somthing I noticed that I dont understand… i know they are constantly refining some ship and stuff with each patch but i always thought the reclaimer and prospector sounded cool but both have had thier sounds changed and with all the features both ships provide I'm confused why they'd focus on changing the noises the ships made over what the ships actually DO. Does that scan? Lol

I've been backing since 2013 and I'm still excited. Love seeing every patch come out. I'd rather them get the stuff done and polished before releasing the patch.

Im hoping they put flora and fauna at least in a few planets or moons to explore and interact with. Crazy non earth looking animals like those in the the Alien planet docufiction from Discovery.
Long way for that to happen, but hoping to experience it in Star Citizen some day…

Agree that there are a few fundamental things that absolutely still need to get into the game. It's always interesting to take a step back and marvel at the fact that it's been this long and basic things like NPC AI is as bad as it is

Just my 2c – I feel they should reduce it to 3 patches per year, making one every 4 months… longer dev cycle but still reasonable to keep you playing.

P.S. Let us keep our earned aUEC and items unless they're testing the economy!

Stutters everywhere. It is supposed to be ready when the graphics industry is fast enough to remove those stutters.

The patch content has always suffered setbacks. Item 2.0 was going to fix this.. no this patch will be be when the tools are fully done and they can really make progress, …

See the original 3.0 & beyond roadmap. Loads of ships on there that were supposed to be in game, that now aren't even on the roadmap.
The thing that is missing the most, is a global, overall, strategic plan.
What are the gameplay loops of different professions supposed to be like? What game mechanics are needed for that? Is this fun?
Currently, the add things, but tbh, it all seems like it is ad-hoc decided, and contradictory to earlier posts of how they were going to develop this aspect of the game.

They keep postponing/struggling with the core tech needed, the core features such as the flight mechanics (2.X era had, I think, better combat flight); and instead, keep pushing out new concept ships etc.
Meanwhile.. Redeemer, Crucible, Endeavor, BMM, Genesis Starliner.. no where to be seen.
And they've changed ship roles, what they claimed would never be changed..

Less 'here's a new concept at twice the price of a full AA game', more 'here's the next bit of highly needed core tech' that is needed, and this is our global plan to move forward, this is how we see gameplay in this profession working out.

Dude, unrelated—but I love SC’s cinematic scenes. They should keep them coming. I’d definitely watch if they made an ongoing series with a nice story. Thanks for the update Bored!

They should go ahead and keep patching 3.6 until 3.7 Nov/CitCon, then just release 3.8 in January. They could then do 4 patches a year, Jan, Apr, July, Oct/Nov/CitCon.

To me delays on SQ42 do not mean much. Im here for the universe mmo experience. That being said, I would love those money from SQ42 sales to fund the universe development.

I much prefer the date driven releases. I'm fine with those dates being a bit fungible. Sometimes people get sick or have emergencies and features slide, sometimes things just take longer than expected. As long as they're diligently working towards delivering what they promised, I'm fine being along for the ride.

Every time I look at the roadmap I get excited for the future of Star Citzen. I know it's slow work but one day we'll play the fully polished game.

You're missing how much fun it is to guess release dates. Over the last year I actually got pretty good at it. On reddit !remindme became a very good friend. 😉

I generally tend not to take Road Maps seriously. It happens too often that features get removed, or pushed back again and again. Sure, some of the original plans are well on track, but it can't compensate for the push-backs and cancellations.

Almost missed the giveaway and now I have to comment every single Video of the month in one hour.
Sorry Bored, but that is not possible without copy & paste.
Rest assured that this cheap prize grab attempt from my end doesn't mean that I don't value your channel, I just have very little free time at the moment so I'm trying to cut down on the YT consumption.
Anyway, here we go, copy-pasted comment #25

I have to say my excitement is quite diminished…it is sad and i'm still playing the game sometimes, but without the core tech for the massive multyplayer experience and the persistency is quite difficult to be excited like 6 years ago.. I'm really hoping the SQ42 will be a Fantastic game, like Mass Effect was for me years ago
