Ladies & gentlemen. Ciao! Welcome to my home. I have shared it
with travelers for centuries, and it would be a shame
to keep it all to myself. In the city that everyone
wants to visit in their lifetime: the extraordinary Venice! What did you say, Lionardo?
You are ready to go out? Then let’s go! It’s time to show you how to live
the city like a real Venetian! A single day in Venice is a… No, no, no… You’re not visiting
some sort of day-trip city! By being in a hurry,
you risk on missing all the history, art and mystery that can be found in the alleys here. So, take it slowly. Stay more than a single day. Trust me, you won’t regret it! Venice is so much more
than San Marco Square… Lose yourself in the Dorsoduro
and San Polo districts, visit the local shops, and take some time to explore the islands! And don’t be ashamed to ask for help. Even my friend Marco Polo had to ask
for directions when travelling to China. We have many bridges… and Venice can be a very romantic city. See where I’m going? You’re welcome to kiss your beloved ones
whenever you want, just don’t stop in the middle of a bridge!
You’ll make me miss my water bus! I know, our amazing staircases
look like a tempting place to take a rest, but there are several benches
in the parks nearby, where you can relax and… who knows,
meet someone special. Take the water bus! It will be a memorable experience, after all, we Venetians
have been sailors at heart for centuries. But don’t take us for lifeguards: diving in Venice is forbidden! Here are the boarding rules: hold onto your bag; let passengers off first; give priority to children
and pregnant women. No excuses now! Ah, seagulls. Poets sung of their deeds… from a distance! And that’s where they must remain! So, don’t leave scraps of food around. Throw them in the right bin! Because here in Venice,
we always take care of the environment. Plastic, glass and cans go here. Paper here.
And the rest of your trash there. It’s easy! Remember, if you come and visit, make sure you leave Venice
the way you found it. Well, I hope you enjoyed this day with… And who’s now,
at this time of the… Ah yes Lionardo! I’m sorry my friends,
but I must go: Casanova is here,
he wants to throw a party… That man will never grow-up… Time for you to go! The city is your oyster now… that you know how to experience Venice
like a real Venetian! Enjoy yourselves! E arrivederci!
