Nationality to me is a question of identity. When we are talking of nationality, it majorly
consists when we perceive ourselves to belong to a group of people who
themselves come together and form a nation. My name is Kitty Hart-Moxon
and I’m a holocaust survivor.
No one wanted to know.
No one wanted to hear what I had to say.
First let it be said, let this issue
not be looked at with any religious connotations.
The issue is about banning the poor man’s protein in Maharashtra.
That is what it’s called, the poor man’s protein.
Let me give you the four-letter-word, it is beef. Have you heard about the ban on beef?
– I’ve read it in some newspapers. Its really bad, I did taste it once but then,
my religion doesn’t allow me. – My religion doesn’t allow me also. Its like imposing things on us. They are imposing things on us. – I think they should take suggestions from
the student body also. And I think we should be allowed to use phones,
we are in a boarding school. – No yaar, that’s what the thing is, we are in a boarding
school, I don’t think we should be allowed phones. because we are here to study and be with our friends.
– I do agree with you. I look forward to the day when the identities That the people of this country associate with the nation transcend into a single, supra-personal consciousness; The true will of the people. For, that indeed is the promised day. Greatness beckons us my fellow countrymen,
all we need is the foresight to claim it. So, today quit the charades and choose what being Indian really means to you. And let it be remembered as one day fewer to our goals and one day, closer to perfection. People driven by the national spirit that was
awakened in the country greeted the Simon commission, with black flags and angry shouts of “go back.” Would we actually have been better of, if the
partition had not happened? Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny and
now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour when the world sleeps,
India will awake to life and freedom.
Excuse me, how do you see nationality?
I see nationality with my eyes.
